Nothing teaches kids to stand on their feet like Ice Hockey!
Ice Hockey: The Coolest Opportunity in Town! Blackburn Ice Hockey Development Association (Blackburn Junior Hawks and Eagles) is an ice hockey club for young people now entering its 20th year in the Blackburn area. We teach ice hockey skills to young people, from as young as five up to 18 and for over 18s on the Blackburn Eagles. We run a development programme for those just starting out, as well as competitive teams in six age groups and further training through our skating skills programme and hockey camps. Be part of our fast growing organization and reach hundreds of potential customers each week
What is Ice Hockey?
Ice hockey is an exciting and fast-paced team sport. It is a competitive game, which teaches quick thinking, concentration, teamwork and cooperation, and leadership. We believe ice hockey fosters a positive approach to learning and life and encourages the best in a child.
Why should you sponsor us?
Our club is located in an area that is identified as one of the most vulnerable in Lancashire, combined with this, it also has very high concentrations of young people. We believe that sport should be accessible to all and that ice hockey is a game that can teach a child a lot more than just how to skate. Ice hockey demands a committed work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills. Ice hockey is fantastic for health and wellbeing, keeping hearts healthy and young people fit. Studies have indicated that young people play ice hockey for the sense of belonging and friendship it gives them, the satisfaction of achievement, and the self confidence that success can bring. We think it is really important in a time of unrelenting negativity in the media about young people and their prospects, to offer young people something that is so positive and, well, just fun!
About our Club
BIHDA is part of the English Ice Hockey Association and play in the Northern English league. We are a non-profit sports organization. Our programmes are run by EIHA qualified coaches who are enthusiastic and constructive. The Club attracts young players from all over Lancashire and parts of Greater Manchester. We are a fast growing and ambitious club. Currently, we are working to attain ClubMark status, a rigorous accreditation process, which aims to ensure sporting organizations achieve the highest standards of coaching, safety and best practice when working with young people. We are proud to have the Eagles as part of our club and of our links with the senior Hawks, which offer young people the opportunity to keep playing hockey after the age of 18.
The purpose of this package is to give you a sense of the options available for sponsorship. The opportunities are far broader than simply advertising on team jerseys although, of course you can do that too! Our approach stems from a desire to allow sponsors to donate on a level with which they feel comfortable, but also from a deeply held sense that sponsorship should reflect that the Club is rooted in a larger community. With this in mind, sponsorship choices range from small advertising to corporate social responsibility opportunities.
Our advertising reaches hundreds of consumers each week, including hockey spectators, figure skating and public users.
